Vladimir Ivanov [MM] continued to showcase his versatility as he secured a singles win replacing Mark Zwiebler who was not in his best of his forms. K Srikanth held his nerve and pulled off the second game 21-20, after losing the first one 14-21. Chong Wei came out with flying colors in the decider game to level the tie. Markis Kido and Pia Z Bernadet [AW] won the final of the tie and secured the victory over Mumbai Masters. Vladimir Ivanov who was valiant in the singles failed to win the decider match. Mumbai Masters have never fielded in an Indian in Men’s singles category. Vladimir Ivanov, Mark Zweibler and Lee Chong Wei have played all the ties. Mumbai Masters have completed all their league games and is in the safe zone for semifinals qualifications.
