India’s last hope PV Sindhu lost to Li Xuerui in grueling three setter 21-10,19-21, 21-8 in the quarter finals of Asian Badminton Championship in China just few moments ago. It was a brilliant performance by Sindhu but the Chinese player did the job when it was required.

In the first game PV Sindhu began on a positive note. Sindhu played some excellent badminton and created pressure on Li Xuerui. She took a commanding lead from the start and never allowed Li a chance in the game. At the interval it was 11-5 in favor of Sindhu. After the interval she did the job and won the first game 21-10.

In the second game Sindhu again started off to a great start. PV Sindhu was leading 5-3 at one moment. PV Sindhu lead till 9-7. At the interval PV Sindu went into the interval with slender 11-10 lead. After the interval Li Xuerui made a great comeback and played some excellent badminton. Li Xuerui from 10-11 down went to 17-13 lead. Sindhu took 5 points but it was not enough to Li Xuerui to take the second game 21-19.

In the deciding game Li Xuerui started off a great note taking a 4-0 lead. Sindhu tried to comeback in the game but Li Xuerui did not allow Sindhu a chance in the game. At the interval it was 11-4 in favor of Sindhu. After the interval Li was at her best and never gave Sindhu a chance in the game. Li Xuerui took an commanding lead of 15-7. Li Xuerui won the third set 21-8.
