14-Year-Old Kid Dies In Bangladesh After A Stump Hits His Neck

A very sad and unpleasing incident happened in the southeastern port city of Chittagong, where a 14-year-old boy died while fielding, as a stump unintentionally hit the boy’s neck by an angry batsman, who was reportedly given out, claimed by the assistant police commissioner Jahangir Alam.

The police registered the case and explained, ‘The batsman was furious when he saw that he was stumped or bowled out. He grabbed a stump and threw it in the air. The stump hit part of the neck and head of Faisal who was fielding close to the wicket. He collapsed on the ground in pain and was declared dead after he was taken to a hospital.

The batsman due to whom, the boy life has been detained and will be prosecuted for causing unintentional death. The incident appears to be scary for both the onlookers and the readers.

Clashes on such scale is not a rare incident in a country like Bangladesh, where the passion of the game seems to have taken seriously. Not only this, in May 2016, a batsman wielding a stump allegedly beat a 16-year-old cricketer to death in Dhaka after the teenager taunted the umpire over a no-ball delivery.
