1st Test Day 3: Top five moments of India vs West Indies

India dominated the third successive day of the first day against West Indies. Due to brilliant fast bowling by Umesh Yadav and Mohammad Shami, India bowled out West Indies for 243 and asked them to bat again. Following on West Indies ended day 3 on 21 for 1 and are trailing India by 302 runs.
- Mohammad Shami and Umesh Yadav rattled West Indies
Indian pace bowler Mohammad Shami and Umesh Yadav ripped through the West Indies batting line-up. After the lunch break Mohammad Shami picked 2 quick wickets. Shami bowled with aggression and made the life tough for the West Indies batsmen. Umesh Yadav also bowled with pace and aggression. Both Mohammad Shami and Umesh Yadav picked 4 wickets each to help India bowl out West Indies for 243.
2. Kraig Braithwaite the only batsmen to provide resistance
Kraig Braithwaite who was not out overnight on 11. He played good strokes off the spinners and fast bowlers. Braithwaite had a solid defense and showed the way for the West Indies batsmen how to play against fast bowling and spinners. When two wickets fell before lunch, Braithwaite were 90 for 3. Braithwaite completed his half-century off 156 balls. At the other end West Indies lost wickets at regular intervals. Braithwaite was dismissed for 74 facing 218 balls.
3. Jason Holder and Shane Dowrich partnership
The seventh wicket for West Indies fell at 144. Jason Holder and Shane Dowrich played attacking strokes putting pressure on the Indian bowlers. Both of them looked in good touch with positive strokes. Jason Holder and Dowrich put on 69 for the 8th wicket. When things were looking good for West Indies,Jason Holder played a poor stroke and was dismissed by Yadav at the score of 36.
4. Dowrich fifty the shining light for West Indies
Apart from Kriag Braithwaite, Shane Dowrich was the only batsmen to score fifty. Marlon Samuels, Darren Bravo, Blackwood did not contribute to the team’s cause. Shane Dowrich struggled a bit to tackle the fast bowling and also the spinners. Shane Dowrich played wonderful strokes and completed his half-century off 75 balls. He remained not out on 57.
5. West Indies struggling following on
India asked the West Indies team to follow after dismissing the West Indies team for 243. The second innings began well for the Indian team as Ishant Sharma picked the wicket of Kraig Braithwaite, who was solid in their first innings, for 2 runs. Despite an early loss, Chandikra and Darren Bravo played some good strokes. On the other hand, Indian fast bowlers made life tough for these two batsmen and would hope to take Indian team to victory on the 4th day.
