Hashim Amla (South Africa)

Hashim Amla is the pillar of the South African batting. His contribution at the top will go a long way in helping South Africa to make competitive totals. He knows how to play spin and pace. In Australia where the South African team lost 1-4 recently, Hashim Amla was the only batsman to provide some resistance. His form in One day internationals in recent times has been great. He must take responsibility so make sure that on those bouncy pitches, he can play a long innings so that the bowling attack can dismiss the opponent team.

Kumar Sangakkara (Sri Lanka)

Kumar Sangakkara is one of elegant players in modern day cricket. He has been a part of the team which was in the finals of 2007 and 2011 World Cup. In the recently concluded Indian tour his form was poor but as he returned to Sri Lanka he played a good knock against England in the second ODI at Colombo. This might be his last World Cup and he will be eager to get his hand on the coveted trophy. Sri Lankans are a tough team to beat and if Sangakkara and Jayawardene stay together then there will no stopping of them.  He will be an important part for the Sri Lankan team.

Brendon McCullum (New Zealand)

Brendon McCullum is another explosive batsman for New Zealand. He is the captain of the team. His ability to charge down the wicket and play aggressive strokes makes him a dangerous player for any opponent.  Playing some innovative strokes like cut, sweep. He makes the bowler think. In Australia and New Zealand where the pitches will help them as they are used to play on fast and bouncy tracks, he will be an asset for the team. The biggest problem of McCullum that he must not buckle under pressure.

David Warner (Australia)

David Warner is one of the explosive opening batsmen for Australia. He can give Australia a quick fire start to the team with his opening partner Aaron Finch. On his day he can destroy any attack and make the score look chasable. He is good runner between the wickets. The best thing about him is that he looks for runs and plays in a positive manner. If Warner and Finch get Australia off to good start then Australia will be a dangerous side at home.
