India will play three T20s and three ODIs in Zimbabwe, starting on June 11.The ODIs will be played from June 11 to 15 and the T20s will be played from June 18 to 22. While selectors had named a largely inexperienced squad for the tour, India are the firm favourites to win the series. But there are some players from the home team who can possess a serious threat to the Indian team.
We are presenting to you 5 players who can make a difference for Zimbabwe in the upcoming series.
1. Hamilton Masakadza:
One of the most important players in the Zimbabwe team, Masakadza was removed from the post of captain just a couple of weeks before the series. The batsman will have a point to prove to the team management and can possess a serious threat to India.
2. Sikandar Raza Butt:
A key member of the team, Raza has been one of the mainstays of Zimbabwe batting line-up. His century in Pakistan last year proves that he has got the skill and temperament to perform against good bowling line up. His off-spin and sharp fielding make him a true asset to the team.
3. Sean Williams:
One of the best players of spin for Zimbabwe, Williams performed brilliantly for Zimbabwe in the 2015 World Cup with 339 runs and 7 wickets. He will possess a good challenge to the Indian overs in the middle overs.
Also, Williams is a handy slow-left arm bowler and more often than not bowls out his overs during the middle phase of the innings.
4.Graeme Cremer:
One of the most consistent performers for Zimbabwe in the recent times, Cremer replaced Masakadza as the captain of the team for this series. He will test the young Indian batsmen in his home conditions with his leg spin.
The leg spinner will also try his best to repay the faith shown in him by the team management.
5. Tendai Chatara:
The lanky pacer has the ability to extract bounce from the surface. His ability to bowl the outswingers with the new ball will surely test the young Indian batsmen.
