Cricket Sri Lanka has announced a 15 men squad for the first Test match against Australia. The first Test will be played at the Pallekele ground. One of the key men who is dropped from the team is Milinda Siriwardana, who captained Sri Lankan team in the warm-up match against Australians at the P Sara Oval in Colombo.

The squad has four uncapped players. 18-year-old Asia Fernando is the youngest among the four uncapped players. Along with Asitha, Vishwa Fernando and Lakshan Sandakan and batsman Roshen Silva are also selected for the first Test. They have flown from England, where they were representing Sri Lanka A in the One Day series also involving Pakistan A and England Lions.

The three matches Murali-Warne Test series will start July 26 and will end on 17 August.

After the Test series Australia will play five-match ODI and two-match T20I series.Sri Lanka recently humiliated by England at their at their home soil. In a three-match series  England have won the series 3-0.

Sri Lanka will play their first home series after 2015 August, where they played against India and were defeated by the visitors India 2-1 which was their first win in two decades in the Emerald Island.

In 2015, they have also lost the series against Pakistan. Sri Lankan team has been going through a transition phase it will be difficult for them to beat Australia, who last played a Test series in New Zealand, earlier this year.
