There is a very interesting story running on Zee News. South African batsman AB De Villiers has said that Virat Kohli is among the best batsmen in the world of cricket today. De Villiers also expressed a desire to bat at No. 3 in all formats for his national team.

De Villiers himself is the world`s No 1-ranked batsman in Test and One-Day International cricket. He also added that Coach Russell Domingo was of the opinion that he needed to be protected a bit at No 5 in Test cricket because he was also the team`s wicketkeeper.

When asked who he thought were among the world’s best batsmen, De Villiers named India`s Virat Kohli, Sri Lanka`s Kumar Sangakkara and West Indies` Shivnarine Chanderpaul as three players who stand out. It is worthwhile to note that De Villiers and Kohli are team-mates for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL. Kohli will play a key role in the upcoming tour of England and the fans will hope that he can perform well.
