The splashy outspoken all-rounder of Pakistan Shahid Afridi has been issued a show-cause notice by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) following his comment that he delivered in the recent past after arriving back from Dhaka after contending in the ICC World Twenty20 tournament.

He has been show caused because some of the players of the national team have shown their displeased expression regarding the comment that explicit Afridi said, the sources on the board confirmed.

Afridi made a comment after reaching his home-ground that the team did not show an encroaching attitude in the match against the West Indies and that led to their massive defeat and they had been ruled of from the competition before the semifinals.

He also confessed if he gets the opportunity to be the captain, he would likely to take the challenge for the benefit of the country and the team.

Afridi has been inquired why he has opened his mouth in front of the media, when only the skipper and the team officials has been given the right to do so after their arrival, one of the sources ha confirmed.

Though Afridi cleared that he never has chased after the captaincy, he had only answered the question that he was asked by the media persons. He said that he always had answered the media after coming back from a massive competition and this time he did nothing new. He meant no disrespect or did not intend to hurt anyone’s emotions.

Mirthfully, the cricket specialist Zaheer Abbas and head coach Moin Khan kept silence and did not talk about the their bad performances in the World Twenty20 competition. They only said that some players would have to splash down in the new management of the team.

Afridi is being tapped to take over as the captain of the T20 side after Muhammad Hafeez stepped aside from the post after taking back home.
