Ahmed Shehzad, Pakistan’s opening batsman has suffered a minor skull fracture after he was hit by a bouncer of Corey Anderson during the 2nd day of the 1st Test match between Pakistan and New Zealand.  The extent of the pain was so much that Ahmed Shehzad dropped his bat , which unluckily went on to hit the stumps and Shehzad was out hit wicket.

Ahmed Shehzad was going all guns blazing and had notched up his career best score of 176 in Tests before this happened in the last over before the Lunch on the 2nd day of the Test match.

Corey Anderson and wicketkeeper  BJ Watling were celebrating the dismissal before they realised that Shehzad is in trouble. Corey Anderson added that he has seen players in this situation before but noone wants to see others in this situation.

Pakistan’s team manager Moin Khan said that the reports have shown a fracture in skull and will be closely monitored for the coming 48 hours and if the pain doesn’t reduce , then the surgeons may well go for decompression.
