Ajinkya Rahane signs up with Cornerstone

Indian batting star Ajinkya Rahane has signed up with Mumbai-based agency Cornerstone Sport & Entertainment (CSE).

The agency also represents other Indian cricketers  such as Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma (Digital & Licencing), Umesh Yadav and Varun Aaron. The agency will handle Rahane’s Brand Endorsements, Commercial Engagements, Social & Digital Media, and Appearances.

Expressing his excitement over the deal, Rahane said that he is looking forward to working with the agency.

“I am really excited and looking forward to working with the team at Cornerstone Sport. It’s a great association and I look forward to providing all the necessary support to my team at Cornerstone in delivering my off the field commitments,” said Rahane.

In the past, the agency has represented some famous athletes such as Yuvraj Singh, Shikhar Dhawan, Murali Vijay, Robin Uthappa, Sania Mirza, Dipika Pallikal, including many others.

“Ajinkya is undoubtedly one of the most prolific batters for India in all formats of the game. He’s young, fit and very motivated; and his best is yet to come! We’re proud and excited to welcome Jinx to Cornerstone and hopefully provide him the support he needs off the field so he can maximise his potential on it” added Bunty Sajdeh, CEO, Cornerstone Sport.

Currently, Rahane, who has been appointed the vice captain for the upcoming tour of West Indies, is preparing for the series. Calling the tour a challenging one, the right-handed batsman said that he is very excited for the series.

”This is actually my second time to West Indies, first time I was with India A team, but with the Indian team it is my first time and I am really excited about this tour. I’m looking forward and I have prepared myself really well,” Rahane told reporters on sidelines of an event here. ”I am sure it will be challenging because West Indies is a decent team. We will give respect to them and it is important to start well in the series,” he added.
