Indian batsman Ajinkya Rahane on Friday said he wanted to join the Indian Air Force if he had not taken up cricket as a career. He also revealed the name of his  favourite sportsperson outside cricket is Tennis legend Roger Federer.

The humble and soft spoken middle order batsman while speaking to bcci.tv recount his most adorable moment as he was once hit on the head by a bouncer during his days in junior cricketer. “In a junior cricket game, I got hit on the head by a bouncer. Immediately after that I got five boundaries in a row,” he said.

Rahane also expressed his love for Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid. The 27 old has played 18 Tests, 58 ODI and 13 T20s.

Rahane scored a brilliant 126 at P.Sara Oval against Sri Lanka during India series win in Emerald Isle after 22 years. He also credited former Indian skipper Rahul Dravid for guiding him on slip catching and overall fielding. Rahne took eight catches, the highest in a Test match, at slip in the second Test at P. Sara Oval.

Rahne also said Rohit Sharma,  Dhawal Kulkarni and Umesh Yadav are his favourite teammates. Asked about song and movie he said Amir Khan starred  Lagan is his favourite movie and “Abhi mujhmein Kahin” by Sonu Nigam is his the most love song adding that Backstreet Boys is his favourite band.
