Alex Hales smashed six consecutive sixes for Nottinghamshire as he lead Nottinghamshire to a victory over Birmingham Bears by 8 wickets, with 33 balls to spare. The match was played at Trent Bridge. Birmingham Bears scored 141 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their innings and set up a atrget of 142 runs for Nottinghamshire. Varun Chopra was the highest run scorer for Birmingham Bears with 80 runs under his belt.
Hales scored 86 runs, with 5 fours and 8 sixes. Though the sixes did not come in the same over, but were off the 6 consecutive balls faced by Hales in the 11th and 12 over of the innings. The bowlers were Boyd Rankin and Ateeq Javid, who went for 26 and 30 runs each in their 2 overs .
Alex Hales, who earlier replaced Corey Anderson in the Mumbai Indians lineup and will now fly to India to join Mumbai Indians side before their last league match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, which is a do or die match for both the teams now, who RCB defeated yesterday.
But it looks very unlikely that Hales will be included in the playing 11 for the Mumbai Indians as they already have got their batting Lineup settled and Lendl Simmons has been consistent for them. The fact that only 4 foreign players are allowed per side makes it almost impossible for Mumbai Indians to get in Hales in the playing XI.
