Rohit Sharma became a star overnight scoring the highest individual score ever in an ODI. His 264 bought smiles on a lot of faces but as it is said, haters will hate, this is a fake interview with a Rohit Sharma critic.

AA: Archit Athani; RSC: Rohit Sharma Critic

AA: Hello, Mr.XYZ, it’s good to see….

RSC: Hey! Even I can score 264, if given 173 balls and 4 life lines.

AA: Woah, that’s harsh.

RSC: Sorry, Nowadays I just assume anyone who comes before me to be a Rohit Sharma fan

AA: What’s the problem in it?

RSC: Its a huge problem. In India, if a player doesn’t perform in one game he is abused, for example Yuvraj Singh who was taken to rippers by our own Indians after the 2014 T20 World Cup final. Rohit Sharma might have become the best ODI player and all but these Indian fans do too much. Next match if he doesn’t play, he is booed again. That’s the sad reality. That is why I have moved to football.

AA: From when did you actually start hating Rohit Sharma?

RSC: Honestly speaking, from the day he debuted. He has talent and all, people say but his lazy reaction looks ugly. He is not of the Kapil Dev or Vivian Richards era who played for the team and the sport cricket. Rohit Sharma is just a maggi man. Ahh!! I enjoyed that period when he got ducks against Sri Lanka in that series.

AA: But isn’t it remarkable that Rohit Sharma is the only and the first player to score 2 double tons in ODI cricket?

RSC: Actually not. Give anyone a bat which is wider and thicker with poor fielding and shorter boundaries, the result will be a double hundred. In these modern era, the value of 175 by Kapil Dev and 189 by Viv Richards is the one losing out. These are centuries which can be called as the best ever, not this Rohit Sharma’s 209 or the 264.

AA: Ok, final question. Why do you dislike Rohit Sharma?

RSC: It’s not that I like dislike him as a person. I have a problem with his batting and his lazy technique. The fans go mad after seeing this. There is nothing to be mad about. He was dropped, I guess 4 times in his innings and Uthappa gave him the strike and he got 173 balls to face, which is in my opinion the highest balls faced in a 50 over game. I don’t like the fact that things like these get over-attention in India. It’s not Rohit’s mistake, it’s the Indian fans.

AA: Nicely crafted, thank you for your time

RSC: Goodbye.

Discalimer: For amusement purposes and should be taken in zest.
