Former England All-Rounder Andrew Flintoff has stated that life is so much easier without alcohol, as he opened up on his battles with depression and alcohol.

Flintoff made his admissions as he emerged on reality Television show, “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!” a jungle survival-themed show which is currently being recorded in South Africa. reported Andrew Flintoff, said that he knows when someone feels a wee bit down to when he cannot actually physically get up and added that one cannot get off their bed.

Flintoff stated that it is tough to describe, and added that it is like one has got the burden of the world on their shoulders with guilt, fear all sorts for no apparent reason. He said that one tries to drink to change how someone feels and it is too bad, and he claimed that he had only drunk once in about a year as the bad side of of booze dawned on him.

Andrew Flintoff, an Ashes winner and former England skipper disclosed his reasons behind quitting drinking. He said that one reason was that he originally thought he had enough of it. He also said that the other reason was that he hurt from depression and it does not help at all. He added that one just hits rock bottom afterwards so they are far better without it. Andrew Flintoff stated that life is so much easier with not having any alcohol component.
