Arafat Sunny Denied Bail By Local Court In Girlfriend Pictures Saga

Arrested Bangladeshi international Arafat Sunny has been denied bail by the local court after the left-arm spinner uploaded some sensitive images of his girlfriend on social media last week.

Spilling some drops of reality into the story, Metropolitan magistrate Zakir Hossain has said another court which deals with internet-related crime specifically will look into the matter in near future.

“The court directed us to move to the cyber court to seek bail. It also asked the jail authorities to look after the health of Sunny as he was sick”, Arafat’s lawyer said.

Last Sunday, the spinner was arrested by the Bangladesh Police after a complaint was lodged by his longtime girlfriend Nasrin Sultana, against the country’s Information and Communication Technology Act in Dhaka.

The woman, who proclaims herself to be Arafat’s better half since 2014, lodged another lawsuit against the spinner accusing him of seeking dowry worth millions from her family. The spinner, however, denied all accusations against him.
