In the inaugural Asia Cup match, India has handed the hosts Bangladesh a defeat at Mirpur in a thrilling match. India have won the match 45 runs as Bangladesh managed to score only 127 runs for 7 wickets. Bangladesh bowler exploiting the green top got over India’s top but had to go down with Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya blew way the Bangladesh bowlers.

He was the first wicket to fall. This southpaw was bowled by Al-Amin Hossain. He scored only two runs.

Rohit Sharma:
This opener started slowly and played with singles at a time when Indian batsmen were finding difficult to find the gap. India were 41 for 3. But, Rohit launched an onslaught on Bangladesh bowlers and changed the course of the match with 83 run innings.

He got out scoring just 8 runs. Virat tried to play a lofted shot over the long-on fielder but was caught by Mahmudullah off the delivery of Masrafe Mortaza.

This lefthanded batsman started with a positive note. He scored 13 runs before Mahmudullah bowled out him. His unnecessary an aggressive shot put India in trouble.

Yuvraj Singh:
He showed his patience and played a small but sensible innings. He shared a 55 run partnership with Rohit Sharma that helped India to turn around the match in India’s favour. Yuvraj scored 15 and takes a brilliant catch of Imrul Kayes.

Hardik Pandya:
He scored 31 off 18 balls and battered the Bangladesh bowlers. He shared 61 run partnership with Rohit Sharma that also played a huge role in India’s victory. He also got one wicket.

He came to bat at No. 8 in the last over of the match. He hit six off the last ball. He played Pandya card in the death over to get maximum runs.

He did not get a wicket but conceded only 25 runs that kept Bangladesh batsmen in check.

This off-spinner conceded 23 runs and got one wicket.
