A most in-form team in T20I, India, will take on Sri Lanka in their next Asia Cup T20 2016 clash on Tuesday night at Mirpur, Dhaka.
Just before the beginning of the ongoing Asia Cup tournament, India defeated Sri Lanka in a 3-match T20I series by 2-1 at home. But that Sri Lankan squad was weaker than the current team. Having said that, the current Sri Lankan team is still far away from being challenging in T20I.
India has only one headache as far as the fitness of players is concerned. Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has suffered back spasm since the beginning of the tournament though he played first two matches with that injury. On the other hand, opener Shikhar Dhawan missed the last match against Pakistan after suffering a niggle on his left ankle. He may also be rested for the Sri Lanka match.

Now Rohit Sharma joins this injury list. During the match against Pakistan on last Saturday, Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir’s crushing yorker hit Rohit’s left toe while batting. Though there was no damage on his foot but he is likely to miss the Sri Lanka clash on Tuesday.
Despite the injuries, India has not faced much of a problem in the matches due to some good form of bowlers and top order contribution. After winning the first two matches, India is now looking to secure their spot in the final of the tournament.
India’s predicted XI: MS Dhoni (c), Ajinkya Rahane, Parthiv Patel, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Hardik Pandya, R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Ashish Nehra, Jasprit Bumrah.
