Brad Hodge’s batting storm in the middle two deliveries in the last over has blown away South Africa, leading his side to gain the second T20 match.

South Africa batted first and scored 80 for the loss of 1 wicket. De Kock did a score of 41 runs and du Plessis gave him an efficient company with 27 runs. In a reply of these, David Warner has established himself as a persecution against the Proteas once again. He has scored 40 runs. He started playing terrific from the beginning of the game, hit 21 runs in Lonwabo Tsotsobe‘s first over along with Aaron Finch. After that he got three consecutive boundaries at debutant Beuran Hendricks’ deliveries which made Aussie’s score at 44 in the first three overs.

South Africa shot them back, took four wickets. Warner got in front for 40 off 16 missing a switch-hit against JP Duminy. Duminy took 2 wickets in 5 overs. South Africa might have altered the wind to their side but they couldn’t as Warner did not have it pass. Australia craved for 15 runs in the final over but it seems that were going to lose as Wayne Parnell could take only two singles in first two rescues. Then Hodge appeared and hit two consecutive sixes at the middle two deliveries followed by one declared wide because of its height.

South Africa had plotted to 11 for 1 in three overs after being required to bat, but Quinton de Kock and Faf du Plessis took 69 off the final four, swinging and connecting six sixes between them, including successive ones off Dan Christian and Mitchell Starc.
