With series already in Australia’s kitty, the Border-Gavaskar series bandwagon moves to Sydney for the fourth and final Test which begins tomorrow. The match will be an emotional one for the players as it is the same ground where Australia lost one of their future star last month. Australia will look to win the match and pay tribute to their former mate. On the other hand, India will look for a bright start to their Test fortunes after the sudden retirement of MS Dhoni.

The final test will also mark the Annual Glenn McGrath foundation, because of which the day 3 of the Test will be a pink day and the environment, be it the fans, player’s grips, stumps etc. will be in pink colour. India will look to finish their run of 13 Overseas Tests on a high by defeating the hosts at the SCG.

Weather Report: The forecast for the duration of the match is for temperatures in the high 20s, with showers possible on several days.

Pitch Report: There was a lot less grass on the wicket which is expected to assist spinners and reverse swing is also expected to play a part.

Team News:

As far as the hosts are concerned, there is just a one changed as Mitchell Starc replaces Mitchell Johnson who is taken out of the precautionary measures for his sore hamstring.

Possible XI: David Warner, Chris Rogers, Shane Watson, Steve Smith, Shaun Marsh, Joe Burns, Brad Haddin, Mitchell Starc, Ryan Harris, Nathan Lyon and Josh Hazlewood.

Wriddhiman Saha will take the gloves from the retired MS Dhoni.  One for worry for India would be the form of Shikhar Dhawan, who might face the axe along with Cheteshwar Pujara.

In place of Dhawan, Suresh Raina, batted extensively in the nets in the lead-up to the Test might get the nod and KL Rahul will be given another chance and might open the innings along with Murali Vijay with Ajinkya Rahane batting at 3 followed by Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina. If Bhuvneshwar Kumar is declared fit, he will replace Ishant Sharma.

Possible XI: Murali Vijay, KL Rahul, Ajinkya Rahane, Virat Kohli (captain), Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Wriddhiman Saha, R Ashwin Bhuvneshwar Kumar/Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Varun Aaron.
