New South Wales batsman Ben Rohrer was taken off the ground after being hit by a vicious bouncer at MCG. Ben Rohrer at the time was batting on 2 from 6 balls, when the 7th ball struck his helmet during the ongoing Sheffield Shield match.

Rohrer tried to duck under the delivery but it kept low and smacked the side of his head. The ball was bowled from Victoria’s quick Chris Tremain early in Monday’s second session.

The new South Walesman staggered for a few steps and then fell on the ground. The fielders and other batsman immediately called for the on duty doctor.

The 33-year-old got to his feet after a few minutes, but left the ground sitting on the back of a motorised . He was sent for scans and he even didn’t came back to bat.
