One of the mainstays in the Pakistan middle order in all 3 formats of the game, Babar Azam has revealed his aim of becoming the No.1 batsman in the world. When a fan questioned what was his aim Babar replied that his aim is to become the No 1 batsman in the world. He looks a solid player in the making and has the ability to play the big shots like most of the modern day batsmen. Despite having a bundle of potential, Babar hasn’t been consistent like a Kohli or a Steve Smith which has deprived him of getting close to those legendary batsmen.
He also answered many other questions from his fans during a Q A session between him and his followers on twitter. Speaking on his favourite batsmen in the world, Azam took the names of AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli and Hashim Amla. Mr. 360 has undoubtedly raised his game to a different level and has evolved as South Africa’s main batsman especially in the shorter versions of the game.
zaroor in sha alLAH, THATS THE AIM 🙂 https://t.co/TRRZmHoVFP

Kohli has been the standout performer for India across all 3 formats of the game and is the only current player to average over 50 in all 3 forms of the game. He has been a run machine and it won’t be a surprise if Kohli goes on to break many batting records until he calls it a day.
in the world: @ABdeVilliers17 @imVkohli and the great @amlahash https://t.co/sZkgeA0hoZ

My Taya ji was the one who inspired me to play cricket. Still remember playing cricket with him on the streets 🙂 https://t.co/Q932bqODJ1

Hashim Amla, on the other hand, has been another brilliant performer for the Proteas across all 3 formats and his record is a testimony of his credentials. He has scored plenty of runs in all forms of the game and all over the world. Babar also revealed that it was his uncle who inspired him to take up cricket seriously.
He loves batting at No.3 and it is favourite batting position. He also expressed his views on the Caribbean Premier League when enquired about the same. He lauded the Caribbean spectators calling them amazing due to a bundle of energy shown by them during each and every match of the tournament.
