Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza is a happy man as pacer Taskin is freed by ICC as the bowler rectified his bowling action.
Bangladesh will play an ODI series against Afghanistan at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur on Sunday. Taskin is now available for international selection. For Bangladesh, Taskin’s availability is a good news as Mustafizur Rahman is ruled out from the series due to injury.
2015 was a dream year for Pakistan as they defeated Pakistan, India and South Africa on limited over series. Bangladesh also qualified for the quarterfinal of the World Cup for the first time .
Bangladesh captain Mashrafe is hopeful for a series victory against Afghanistan who won the warm-up match.
ICC cleared Taskin and Arafat Sunny to bowl in international cricket . Taskin is available for the first OD. The 21-year-old quick has a good chance to feature in the playing XI.
“It is great for our cricket. It is very good that he has proved his action legal. I hope he can pick up from where he left off in international cricket,” Mashrafe said.
The left arm bowling sensation Mustafizur Rahman is ruled out from both Afghanistan and England series. Mashrafe said that the team will miss Rahman.
“To be honest, we will miss Fizz. But it’s a chance for others who are in the side. Those who were out of the team, they have a chance to prove themselves. Now we have a competition in ourselves. I think, we have the best possible attack in this series.
“It is not that there were no challenges when Mustafizur was playing The challenges remain the same. The people who are in the team, I believe they have the ability, so I am not thinking about that,” the Narail Express added.
