Umpiring in Bangladesh and India series has drawn attention from all aspect of life since the quarterfinal clash between the two South East Asian neighbours in the world cup 2015 Down Under. During that controversial match wrong decision from umpires stained cricket.
Many Bangladeshi including Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and former ICC President Mustafa Kamal said it was two umpires- Aleem Dar and Rechard Kettle Bourough took the match away from Bangladesh.
At one point of the match Rohit Sharma was batting on an individual score of 90 and team total on 196 in the 40th over bowled by Rubel Hossain, but the “low waist” ball was called “no” by Aleem Dar that went in favour of Rohit . Since then Rohit went onto add another 47 runs in quick time to help India go past 300-run mark. Not only has this decision, the catch of on formed Mahmudullah Riyad caught by Shikhar Dhawn in the deep midwicket also not gone well with the Bangladesh fans. As per Bangladesh fans Dhawn touched the boundary while catching the ball. Thus, the every decision of umpires will be interesting to watch.
