In the Annual General Committee meeting where BCCI removed N. Srinivasan from ICC chairman’s post, also asked former cricketer, Sourav Ganguly to choose one between his two works – commentary and Governing council. Ganguly is currently an IPL governing council member and is also doing occasional cricket commentary. But, BCCI said he has to choose one between the two.

Sourav Ganguly has become the Cricket Association Bengal President after president Jagmohan Dalmiya expired.
Sourav Ganguly came in the IPL governing council while Dalmiya was the president. Ganguly is also a member of the Cricket Advisory committee comprised of Sachin Tendulkar nd VVS Laxman.
Meanwhile, Ganguly will fly for the USA to ply his trade in the All-Star Cricket League for Sachin’s Blasters.
In the first match, Warne’s Warriors defeated Sachin’s Blasters at Citi Field, New York. Ganguly is likely to play the second match in Houston on November 12.
Sourav Ganguly practised at the net for the three-match series in the USA. But, Ganguly because of the AGM meeting decided to fly for the USA on today (November 9, to play the 12 November’s match.
Earlier Ganguly said if he does not let to open the innings then he should fly back in India in the next day flight. So, it will be interesting to watch whether Ganguly opens the innings with Sachin or not.
