The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the central contract for Indian players. Now, the grade A players will be given a total amount of Rs. 2 Crore annually with the players in Grade B getting an amount of 1 Cr annually. The players in Grade C will be getting Rs 50 Lakhs. The amount in all the grades has been doubled in comparison to last year.

The per match fees of the players have also been hiked as now players will be paid an amount of 15 Lakhs per Test, Rs 6 Lakh per ODI and Rs. 3 Lakh per T20I

There were many changes in the list in comparison to last year as players like Ravindra Jadeja, Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara have been promoted to group A. Jadeja was in group C in the contract list last year whereas the latter of the two were in Group B.

Rishabh Pant, who made his international debut in the T20 against England in Bengaluru T20I has been awarded Group C whereas Parthiv Patel has made a comeback to the contract list in Group C. Yuvraj Singh, who was not the part of the list has made a comeback to Group B.

Ashish Nehra has also made a comeback to contracted list to Group C. Few players like Karun Nair, Yuzvendra Chahal, Karun Nair, Hardik Pandya who made their debut last year have been added to the list in Group C.

Grade A (2 Crore): Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, R Ashwin, Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ravindra Jadeja, Murali Vijay.

Changes – Jadeja, Vijay, Pujara added.  

Grade B (1 Crore): Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Wriddhiman Saha, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuvraj Singh.

Changes – KL Rahul, Saha, Bumrah, Yuvraj added. Ambati Rayudu, Shikhar Dhawan, Manish Pandey dropped to Group C.  

Grade C (50 Lakh): Shikhar Dhawan, Ambati Rayudu, Amit Mishra, Manish Pandey, Axar Patel, Karun Nair, Hardik Pandya, Ashish Nehra, Kedar Jadhav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Parthiv Patel, Jayant Yadav, Mandeep Singh, Dhawal Kulkarni, Shardul Thakur, Rishabh Pant.

Changes – Pandya, Nair, Nehra, Jadhav, Chahal, Parthiv, Jayant, Mandeep, Shardul, Rishabh added. Pragyan Ojha, Harbhajan Singh, Shrenath Aravind, Varun Aaron, Mohit Sharma, Stuart Binny dropped.
