BCCI Awards For 2013-14 Announced: Bhuvneshwar Kumar Wins Polly Umrigar Award

India’s bowling spearhead Bhuvneshwar Kumar wins Polly Umrigar award which is given by BCCI for India’s best cricketer of the year 2013-14. He got this award during BCCI Awards Ceremony held in Mumbai on November 18. Earlier this year, Bhuvneshwar Kumar also won the ICC’s LG People Choice Award

The other cricketers who received awards are:

Col CK Nayudu lifetime achievement award: Dilip Vengsarkar

Lala Amarnath Award for the best all-rounder in Ranji season 2013-14: Parvez Rasool (Jammu and Kashmir)

Lala Amarnath Award for the best all-rounder in domestic one-dayers 2013-14: R Vinay Kumar (Karnataka)

Madhavrao Scindia award for being highest run-scorer in Ranji season 2013-14: Kedhar Jadhav (Maharashtra)

Madhavrao Scindia award for being highest wicket-taker in Ranji season 2013-14: Rishi Dhawan (Himachal Pradesh)

Best Umpire in Domestic Circuit for the year 2013-14: Anil Chaudhary

Best Overall Performance in the year 2013-14: Maharashtra and Railways ( 13 points each)

MA Chidambaram Trophy- Best Under-19 Cricketer of 2013-14: B Anirudh (Hyderabad)

MA Chidambaram Trophy- Best Under-16 Cricketer of 2013-14: Shubham Gill (Punjab)

Best Woman Cricketer(Jr): Smriti Mandhana.
