First talking of the Mithali Raj led Indian women’s team. The team qualified for the finals of the World Cup for the second time. It was last in 2005 when Indian team played the final of this tournament but this time, there were all praises for the team, as the game was televised, unlike the last time and millions were able to witness the emphatic show produced by them.

The immaculate performance from the team already had led to the members of the side becoming the talk of the town and the praises have come along with prizes as well. This time, the board decided to award the selection panel too.

Next talking about the men’s selection panel led by MSK Prasad. The committee was formed on 21 September and since then, the Indian team has performed well. Apart from conquering the long home season, the team also went onto climb to number 1 spot in ICC Test rankings.

The team also qualified for the finals of the ICC Champions Trophy and history has been created as Virat Kohli has become for ever captain to win a two Test series in Sri Lanka. One match is yet to be played in the series.
