The South African team has revealed their team uniform which they will sport from the next month in all formats of the game. CSA Chief Executive Haroon Logart, on the eve of this launch has announced that talks between the BCCI and CSA are going on in regards to the ‘Gandhi-Mandela Cup’ proposed to be played in both the countries in the next two years.
Logart felt that India was enthusiastic to start an iconic series with South Africa and that CSA is ready to tour India for a four test match series which will be named the Gandhi-Mandela Cup. The Indians will repay the favor and play South Africa in South Africa by 2018.
Logart was all praises for the South African players during the launch. He said that after concentrating on T20’s for the last 18 months will give the team a great chance in the T20 World Cup next year. He also lauded the way the South African players have been accepted in T20 leagues around the world and added that it was good for CSA.
He also spoke about the kit which will be used mostly in the sub-continent starting with the tour to Bangladesh next month. He also acknowledged the technology that goes into making a comfortable jersy. He also spoke about the aggressive selection policy of players and that it was needed to maintain the Test ranking of the national team.
