The Indian Cricket Team is all set to bring back one of their vital members of the 2003 ICC World Campaign as the man behind the successful run of Sourav Ganguly’s team has been hired back just before the Boxing Day test that began earlier today.
BCCI has hired the services of famous sports psychologist Sandy Gordon from the Boxing Day Test match. According to a reports from a leading News Channel, Gordon has joined the team at Melbourne just before the third Test match and his presence will help the younger players to come to terms with tense situations that has been prevailing since the start of the Border-Gavaskar trophy.
The Perth based psychologist as praises have reportedly been heaped on Gordon from the likes of Ganguly, Tendulkar for his contribution to the team’s brilliant run in the 2003 World Cup where the team finished as runners up after losing to Australia in the finals. The class of 2003 had attributed Gordon’s presence as a reason for their success with the team reaching the final in that edition of the marquee event.
Gordon’s presence will help struggling Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan to come in terms of their mental approach just ahead of the World Cup.
