The Big Bash League (BBL) 2016 will start from December 17 in Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). City rivals Sydney Thunder and Sydney Sixers will face each other in the tournament opener. The league is one of the most followed cricket extravaganzas in the world.

In the eight franchises based tournament international players excluding Indian players participate and rub shoulders with the Australian players for an exciting tournament.

Australia T20 skipper Aaron Finch has challegenged all Australian fast bowlers before  the March-April world T20. Before the start of the Big Bash Finch said the outstanding Big Bash performances will open the door for the national team for many Australian bowlers.

Australia are in the  group of death along with Trans Tasman rival New Zealand, host India and Pakistan. Like Indian Premier League (IPL), BBL is also an evening soap opera. The tournament also mingled some unwatned incidents, which were funny.

Batsmen’s style of batting, fielders dropped catches after trying for seconds. Broken bat, batsmen’s expression to a bouncer, colorful celebration all were part of exciting matches.

When a bowler falls while bowling, there is always a chance that he can pick up an injury. But, here is a video you will see a pace bowler’s fall left all players to laugh. Glenn Maxwell who is known as the explosive and outrageous shots was fooled by a cutter.

Meanwhile, England batsman Michael Carberry lost his bat in the air while playing a big shot. He did not know where was his bat. In another incident Brett Lee, who retired from big bash last year, broke a bat.
