Blindfolded Gautam Gambhir Plays Cricket With Colleagues On Floor

It does not seem worrying matter for the Indian left-hander top-order batsman Gautam Gambhir to score big or hit hard before going through a lean patch while playing the international cricket, but he has eventually found a unique way to connect the bat with a ball this time not on the turf, but on a floor with his colleagues.
“Playing cricket wid (with) my visually challenged colleagues,” tweeted the left-handed batsman Gautam Gambhir.
In the recently concluded Test series, the 35-year-old Delhi-born Gambhir had played the first match of the four-match Test series against England at Rajkot where he flopped by scoring 29 in the first innings and duck in the second.
The blind cricketer has taken a sudden surge post-2000 and visually impaired cricketers had shown a lot of interest by playing for different countries while participating in the major events like Blind World Cup.
In a video, Gambhir was shown being blindfolded by one of his colleagues before getting ready to face the white-ball.
Gambhir, who looked very hesitant while facing the first ball, played the second ball normally before finding it difficult to connect while sweeping the ball. He was also applauded by his colleagues.
However, Gambhir in the recent past had got better off against his opponents, but the floor had offered him something different where he seemed struggling while timing the ball.
The former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid had also been the brand ambassador for the Cricket Association for Blind in India, who termed to play cricket blindfolded was a very challenging task.
Gambhir has played his last T20I against Pakistan in 2012, followed by ODI in 2015 against England at Dharamsala
