The T20 format which gives only 120 balls bet batting team gives very less chance for a bowler to maintain his dignity and shape when batsmen go berserk while trying to get to a huge score. However over the 8 seasons, we have seen bowlers who were able to contain the batsmen and also pick wickets up whenever the team needed them.

Here is a list of the bowlers who have picked 4 or more wickets the most number of times in T20 cricket

Sunil Narine

The mystery spinner from the Caribbean, Narine has always made a T20 game more interesting as not many batsmen have been able to answer him with the bat. Narine who has played 151 T20 matches has picked 4 or more wickets for 11 times in his career is one of the best T20 bowler of all time and has proved hard to get away in any situation of a T20 game. He is one bowler who has a place in any T20 squad.

Lasith Malinga

The slingy and deadly un-orthodox quickie from Sri Lanka, Malinga is known for his deadly yorkers that he can deliver at ease which makes it that hard for the batsmen to score any runs off him. Malinga who also has a lot of variations up his sleeve is deceptively quick and the slingy action makes it even more difficult for batsmen to play him. Malinga has picked 4 or more wickets on 11 occasions in his career having played 211 matches.

Umar Gul

From the land of quick bowlers, Umar Gul from Pakistan has been the go to man for Pakistan at the death for around 2 years. Gul who had really good control of where he want to pitch the ball had a cool head on his shoulders and often outfoxed the batsmen with changes in line length and the pace of the ball. He always proved hard to get away and has picked a 4-wicket haul 10 times in his T20 career of 128 matches.

Yasir Arafat

Another player born on the land of quick bowlers Yasir Arafat has played in leagues all around the world and has gathered loads of experience which helped his team in one of the recent T20 world cups. Yasir who is a great exponent of the reverse swing uses it to great effect in a 20 over game and makes it difficult for the batsmen to even survive let alone score off him. Arafat whose career spanned across 197 games picked up a 4-wicket haul 9 times and was also one of the most economical bowler in T20.

Dirk Nannes

Nannes first burst into the scene in the IPL where he took every player by surprise by the pace and bounce he generated even on Indian pitches. Nannes who is extremely fit played international cricket for the Australian team but was not able to cement his place for the future. However he still remains a really fierce and extremely competitive bowler in every league he has played all around the world. Nannes who has played the highest number of matches on the list with 215 has picked up 4 wickets or more on 9 occasions.
