During their international cricket career, they have shared one of the fiercest rivalries. But off the field, they have shown respect for each other.  Now Brett Lee expressed his desire to watch a biopic on Sachin Tendulkar.

The 39-year-old Lee, who is making his acting debut with  an Australian film “Unindian”,  is excited about the biopic on Tendulkar titled “Sachin: A Billion Dreams”. The upcoming  film on Indian cricket’s greatest ever stars Sachin Tendulkar is helmed by James Erskine .

“It’s great to see films on cricketers’ life and journey. I am looking forward to seeing Sachin Tendulkar biopic. I like that more. He is a great player and a nice human being,” Brett told PTI.

The Bollywood filmmakers seem  to be  fascinated with cricketers’ life as movies are being made on them.

Recently a biopic on former Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin also released in India  lead by Emraan Hashmi.

This in September World Cup winning Indian captain MS Dhoni’s biopic will be released in September. The lead role played by Sushant Singh Rajput playing the lead role.

Asked about Brett Lee  about making a biopic on himself , he says, “No not now. It is not exciting for me at the moment. I am focused about ‘Unindian”.

The movie is directed by Anupam Sharma , featuring Brett Lee and Tannishta Chatterjee. The movie will be released in India on August 19.

The biopic on cricketers has created a lot of buzz as India this year will see two biopics on two great cricketers.  Sachin has played for India more than two decades while MS Dhoni has given India three ICC trophies.
