India will once again take the field in quest of their first victory in the last one year. Virat Kohli lead young Indian team with a lot of hopes went to Sri Lanka to back in winning track and win the series in Sri Lanka after 22 years.

But, in the first match India lost the match from the more comfortable position. Indian batsman finds difficult to handle Sri Lankan spinners. Before India play the Colombo match on Thursday, the biggest question is will India still be glued with 6 batsmen and five bowlers combination or add one more batsman to the team to strengthen the batting department.

Virat Kohli in the last match struck with five bowlers formula that was just a gamble for India in a spin friendly pitch. Harbhajan Singh is not bowled well in the last match. So, he should be dropped from the XI. And Stuart Binny will be included in the team as his replacement.

The traditional Indian combination

Since Shikhar Dhawan ruled out from the tour KL Rahul and Murali Vijay will open the innings. Rohit will bat at no.3. Harbhajan Singh should be replaced with Cheteshwar Pujara to strength the batting order. Pujara will bat at no.6.  Virat and Ajinkya will bat at no. 4 and 5. Wriddhiman Saha should bat no.7.

Except Harbhajan Singh, Ashwin, Mishra, Ishant Sharma and Varun Aaron will make the playing eleven.

Team: KL Rahul (wk), Murali Vijay, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli (c), Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara, Wriddhiman Saha, R Ashwin, Amit Mishra, Ishant Sharma, Varun Aaron

Combination with No specialist wicket keeper

In this combination, both Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara make the playing eleven. KL Rahul should keep the wickets instead of Wriddhiman Saha. Saha will be dropped for his slack wicket keeping.

Team: KL Rahul (wk), Murali Vijay, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli (c), Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara, Stuart Binny, R Ashwin, Amit Mishra, Ishant Sharma, Varun Aaron

The Bold combination

India can include Stuart Binny as an allrounder to strengthen the batting order. He can help the bowling department also. The rest of the team will be look like this KL Rahul, Murali Vijay, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli (c), Ajinkya Rahane , Wriddhiman Saha (wk) Stuart Binny, R Ashwin, Amit Mishra, Ishant Sharma and Varun Aaron.
