Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai  SuperKings will face each other at Chinnaswamy  stadium at Bangalore. This may seem to be a dead game but both teams have a lot to play for. On one side, RCB will look to end up on a high at home venues, after having not played to their potential at home. On the other hand , CSK will look to win this game and strengthen their claim for the top 2 team spot.

CSK are coming into this having lost 3 back to back games , something which one doesn’t associate with CSK. They would like to go into the next round on a high. They have been out of the track after they had managed to qualify for the next stage  . On the other hand , RCB has improved  , especially with their batting unit.

High points:

CSK will bank on their openers for a good start. Even in McCullum’s absence , CSK looks good at the top order. They also have a good finisher in Dhoni

Bangalore will depend on it’s top order to fire as a unit . It is something missing this year, but the form of Yuvraj and De villiers are the biggest plus point for RCB.

Weak points:

Both teams seems to have a struggle in the bowling department, especially Chennai SuperKings. Bangalore has been playing most of the games on flat pitches and it’s bowlers going for runs in understandable. Muralitharan , coming into the team has surely added a lot to their bowling.

CSK is lacking a quality fast bowler  with some decent pace. Hilfenhaus and Hastings have not been upto the mark for them till now.

Team news:

Bangalore might bring in Parthiv Patel in place of Takawale  otherwise they are likely to go with the same team.

Chennai  might bring Hilfenhaus or Samuel Badree in place of Hastings , otherwise they too are likely to go with tge same team.

Head to Head:

Both these teams have met on 15 occasions before and Chennai leads the battle with 8 wins , with 7 going in the favour of RCB.
