After sealing the semi-finals spot, Kolkata Knight Riders will look to continue their 12 match winning run when they take on Dolphins in their final group game at Hyderabad later tonight. Dolphins, who are yet to win a single match in the tournament will look end the tournament on a high. Kolkata, who on a winning spree since the IPL has been the team to watch out for so far in the tournament has the most balanced side among both the sides. Their bowling has been sensational throughout the tournament. Their spin trio of Sunil Narine, Kuldeep Yadav and Piyush Chawla are very difficult to score against and they are backed well by the pacers Jacques Kallis and Andre Russell.
Russell, who was overlooked during the IPL has shown what he is capable of in the previous matches and he, along with veteran Ryan Ten Doeschate will look to continue their good form in the tournament. Their only area of concern will be the form of Gautam Gambhir and Yusuf Pathan, the duo is yet to set the tournament on fire. The Knightriders will also expect their consistent batsman Robin Uthappa to come good as the tournament enters its crucial stage.
On the other hand, today’s match is all about Pride for the South African side Dolphins, who are the only side not to win a single point in this year’s tournament. Their bowling has been their weakness and the opposition are exploiting it and are cashing on it by scoring big. In recent times, the wicket at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium has been favouring the batsmen and in tonight’s encounter, the same can be expected from the 22 yard strip.
