Former Indian Wicket keeper, Syed Kirmani , on Monday , after winning the CEAT lifetime achievement award said that the “Commercial Considerations” might prevent Mahendra Singh Dhoni from quitting any particular format of the game in near future.

“The ball is entirely in his court. If he is fit, he can play in all formats,” Kirmani told TOI in an exclusive interview, before explaining why he thought Dhoni may be keen to play for India in all formats.

He said that all the players are with some sort of contracts with other companies and they endorse their product. Companies would like to see their players play in all the formats or otherwise this will mean that M S Dhoni will have to lighten his pocket to some extent.

It is worth noting that sports person earn a lot when they are at their peak and go un noticed after few years of their retirement.

Talking of his personal career, Kirmani said that he was perhaps not allowed to play much for India , but insisted that it all depends on the God. He said that he was at the peak, when he retired and was getting better and better with each game.  But, he was definitely happy after getting the” CEAT Lifetime Achievement Award”.

He praised Sanju Samson and Wriddhiman Saha , but he also felt the need for the youngster, Sanju Samson, not to get carried away.
