According to reports in Channel 9 news, Cricket Australia has announced the dates for the Test series against India following the tragic death of cricketer Phillip Hughes.

First Test: December 9-13, Adelaide.

Second Test: December 17-21, Brisbane.

Third Test: December 26-30, Melbourne.

Fourth Test: January 6-10, Sydney.

The Test was due to start in Brisbane on December 4, the day after Hughes’ funeral in his hometown (Macksville). But instead, it was announce that the Indian Cricket team will play a two day tour game in Adelaide on December 4 and 5 against an opposition who will be revealed soon.

So, it means, the traditional New Year Test in Sydney (which usually begins on January 2) won’t take place this year.

But an official confirmation from Cricket Australia is pending.
