Batsman Shaun Marsh and Phil Hughes had been put forth agreements by the Cricket Australia on Monday, while compelling Test batsman Alex Doolan could not confirm his place among the top 18 players on the appraisal. Beside him there is one more top-drawer breach from the agreement list, who is budding pacer Nathan Coulter-Nile. The agreement list has gotten updated every year and this year it gets marked down from 20 to 18 participants.

Doolan attended all the three Tests in the recent past against South Africa and enumerated 186 runs at 31. On the other hand Marsh got consecutive ducks after he registered 148 in the first Test at Centurion and he got discharged for series decider. Additionally, Hughes did not play matches despite being shown during the spell.

The agreements bear in mind for all the three formats of international cricket, i.e. Test, One day, Twenty20 matches.

“Alex Doolan was close to picking up a contract and he is highly affected by the selection panel as the incumbent number three hitter in our Test line-up,” John Inverarity, chief selector said. “He gained his Australian debut less than two months ago and we look forward to him building strong on the promising start he hit in the three-Test series in South Africa.” He added.

Coulter-Nile was going to convey in the agreement likewise, Inverarity confirmed. “He has received some remarkable white-ball (One day international) performances for Australia. He had been dallying with the Test team for much of the Australian summer.” He said. “The panel would like to see Nathan stick to step forward well and experience another strong season in 2014-15.”

Ed Cowan, Pat Cummins, Xavier Doherty, Ben Hilfenhaus, Clint McKay, Matthew Wade, Usman Khawaja and Adam Voges are some other players who is going to leave the season undone.

In this season Australia is popping up to run a Test series against Pakistan, India, the West Indies and England and their main goal with regard to one-day international will be poured on World Cup starting in February 2015 on home soil.

In 2014-15, the minimum CA retainer is Aus$250,000 ($231,000).
