Pakistan Cricket Board asks PSL franchise to clear dues by end of the month

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has asked a PSL franchise to clear all its dues and submit the guarantee amount by the end of the month. During the PSL governing council in Lahore it came to notice that a PSL franchise has not submitted the guarantee amount to the board, now the franchise have been asked to submit the amount by the end of this month i.e. July 31.

“The owners have now been given a deadline of July 31st to submit the guarantee money or their shares will be put up for sale to recover the money,” revealed a source.

After the meeting, Najam Sethi, The head of PSL council seemed to be quite happy and was overjoyed as he was quite amused by the success of the first edition of Pakistan Super league. He also promised to bring more international stars to the league in the next edition of the PSL.

“We have managed to contract  Brendon McCullum and Eoin Morgan for the second edition and they are proven international stars who will not only bring vast international experience but a wealth of invaluable leadership experience to the PSL,”

“While we have announced only these two names there are at least a dozen additional top-level signings that will be revealed in the coming days,” said a hopeful Sethi.

In the end, he also promised that the next edition will be bigger and superior to this one. Earlier it was reported that he also has plans to host the final of next edition PSL at Pakistan but the matter is yet to be taken to the board. Board will take the final decision on this matter.

The first edition of Pakistan Super League was a great success as PCB earned a profit 2.6 Million through this tournament. The tournament received a positive response back home. The second edition of the PSL is scheduled to be played next year.
