Afghanistan tour of Pakistan on hold after Lahore blast

The tour of Afghanistan to Pakistan has been put to hold after a blast in a recreational park in Lahore on Sunday. The tour of Afghanistan to Pakistan was supposed to happen in April but due to Lahore blast. Afghanistan was discussing to tour the country next month for three One day Internationals and a four-day match but a blast near Gaddafi Stadium, now the tour is serious doubt.

The Kenyan women have also called the tour off due to security concerns. Zimbabwe toured Pakistan for 3 One day Internationals and 2 T20 match last year. Apart from this no other international teams are ready to tour the country. In 2009, a terrorist attacked took place on the Sri Lankan cricket team in March 2009. The Pakistan government has not agreed to host the series.

Pakistan has been playing cricket in UAE since March 2009. Pakistan was knocked out in the first round of the ICC World T20 2016. They have been not a consistent side in the shorter format and need changes to turn around the fortune of the team.

The Afghanistan tour of Pakistan was supposed to happen between 15th April and 8th May with Karachi and Lahore the venues. The Lahore Blast has put the tour in doubt and we hope everything settles for the tour to take place.
