Harbhajan Singh, the skipper of Punjab team has entered into Eden Garden this Tuesday to play the quarter final against Railways. He has kept a very good record at Eden Garden throughout his entire career. Calling up his excellent performances here, he said that Eden is more like a mother to him who never has disappointed her child. At the same time Harbhajan is hoping that this time also Eden will help him win the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Leading his homeside Punjab he is seemed aspired that Eden will give him auspicious consequence.

“Whenever I have come to Eden, It never returned me empty-handed. Eden has always been very special and close to my heart. No matter whether I play for India, Mumbai Indians or any other team, the Eden has given me everything. It has been like another mom to me. Hope it will be special again for us,” Harbhajan said on the evening.

He made one of his lifetime performances in Eden when he reached 13 wickets against Australia in 2001. Last year he helped his Indian Premier League team Mumbai Indians o win over Chennai Super Kings in final here. Brooking along the ground of Eden he remembered how the former captain Sourav Ganguly taught them to win the overseas matches.

“Dada is an outstanding captain and I’ve no doubt with that. He made us learn how to acquire the series out of the subcontinents. The way he handled us has made an example to others. I admire him a flock; he is a great human being. Dada fought and made many comebacks. You can’t build a comeback until you scrap. He’s always been an inspiration for me. I’m working hard right now as I want a comeback for me. And I’m quite sure that things will diminish in place someday. Till then I want to try again and once more.” He said.

Harbhajan thinks that he is here as a skipper of his side to do his task well and to motivate his team as a good leader. He believes that he has to overcome his own-set standard in the forthcoming matches. “At the end you have to give competition to yourself and want to get better at your field. If I do that the remaining things will come in place automatically. Every game is an opportunity when you are not in the national side. I have done so well in the International side and I have done well with Punjab.”

Bhajji is quite happy that his once upon a time teammate Yuvraj Singh has joined his side. Its great to have someone like Yuvraj, who is a match-winner in your side. He knows his responsibility for both his team and himself.” Habhajan explained

Harbhajan-led Punjab has secured the upmost position in the North-zone as they won four among five matches in this tournament. He now wants to concentrate on Vijay Hazare trophy only instead of aspiring to the IPL that are falling to flow in April first week. “I’m not concentrating on the IPL at the moment. My priority is winning this meet because for too long has Punjab has not won anything.”

As a skipper Bhajji always believes in preparing their players free to play their mind. He wants to let them go out and express themselves as the way they want to. He hopes that Punjab will register their victory in Vijay Hazare tournament in Eden for sure.
