The South African pacer Dale Steyn has ruled out himself of the IPL 2017. Though he announced his decision to skip the tenth edition of IPL last year but still there were rumours that the Gujarat Lions pacer might be fit for the tournament. Steyn himself cleared the rumours with a tweet today –
For those that think I’ve miraculously recovered in time for the IPL, I haven’t.
Im actually leaving for Bali today, surf trip. Peace ?✌?

Steyn suffered a shoulder injury during the first Test match against Australia last year at Perth and then was then ruled out for almost six months. The pacer later in December confirmed that he miss will the cash-rich league but some rumours forced him to confirm the news again.
Steyn, who previously played for Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Deccan Chargers, was a part of Gujarat Lions last year but only played one game where he bowled just two overs for the cost of 17 runs.
In absence of Steyn, Gujarat Lions have strengthened up fast bowling line-up by purchasing likes of Basil Thampi, Nathu Singh, Indian pacer Manpreet Gony, Munaf Patel and Shelly Shaurya in the IPL auction conducted last month.
