Dave Richardson, the International Cricket Council chief executive has given the players warning against rough aggressive on-field behaviour during the Cricket World Cup starting from 14th February.
He said in a report presented by ESPNcricinfo, that behavior problem has been noticed at all the pre-event squad briefings. He said it started a few months back. The misbehaviour in some games by some players was considered to be unacceptable, and not a good instance to youngsters watching the match.
Richardson said the repression has already commenced and any misbehaviour would not be tolerated. He thinks there has been something like 12, 13 Code of Conduct charges settled in the last some months.
He added that the teams will be told that the umpires plan to remain solid, that the penance handed out by the match referees will be a little bit more important, or higher than before, but that probably everyone will be treated equally and fairly.
