David Warner Pays Tribute to his Dear friend Phil Hughes on his Third Death Anniversary

India will go for the third and final at Kotla from December 2.Australian opener David Warner was seen paying tribute to his dear friend and former Australia cricketer Phil Hughes, who passed after being struck by a bouncer at the backside of the neck while batting in the second innings as Australia defeated England by ten wickets to go 1-0 up in the Magellan Ashes series. Notably, today marks the third death anniversary of this beloved cricketer.
The left-handed opener Hughes was struck at the backside of his neck by a bouncer of Sean Abbot while batting for South Australia in a Sheffield Shield game against New South Wales at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Hughes fended at it a little bit awkwardly and fell on the ground straightaway after getting the blow. He was soon rushed to the hospital and even after the efforts of the doctors he passed away tragically leaving the nation and the cricketing world in utter shock.

The swashbuckling opener Warner was spotted looking at the sky and remembering his friend when he was batting at 63. Hughes was also batting at 63 when that soaring bouncer hit him. Earlier, Both the Australian openers Cameron Bancroft and David Warner were seen wearing a black armband with PH inscribed on it.
The touring Barmy army was also spotted giving a classic tribute to the southpaw as they sang songs and clapped in the memory of the young cricketer during the opening session of the fifth day. In a short span, Hughes filled in the shoes of Matthew Hayden as he scored 1535 runs in 26 Test matches he featured for Australia with the highest score of 160. He also represented Australia in the limited over the game as he scored 826 runs with the highest score of 136 runs in 25 matches.
