Impressed by the recent performances of Bangladesh, former Australia cricketer and commentator Dean Jones has issued a clear warning to Australia, asking them to bring their best team when thye tour the rising cricketing nation. Australia, who just relieved themselves from the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, will be touring Bangladesh in August.
“Australia better bring their A game to Bangladesh when play @BCB Tigers in the Test series in August … or they will lose,” Jones tweeted.

Jones’ warning comes after witnessing the recent performances of Bangladesh, both in the home and away conditions. In Bangladesh’s most recent home series, England faced a tough time dealing with the Bangladesh bowling attack and determined batting order.
The two match Test series ended in a draw with a 1-1 score line. After being 0-1 in the opening Test, the hosts made a resounding comeback and recorded their first ever Test win against England by 108 runs.
Later, they toured India for a one-off Test series and produced impressive performances, before heading to Sri Lanka and continuing the impressive run. After inflicting a heavy 259 runs loss in the opening Test at Galle, Bangladesh registered a historic win in the second Test at Colombo to level the series 1-1.
Australia last played a Test match against Bangladesh in 2006 and was set to tour the country in 2015 before cancelling it just three days before the start of the tour due to security concerns.
The Australian government had warned that there was “reliable information to suggest that militants may be planning to target Australian interests in Bangladesh.” Consequently, ACB CEO James Sutherland called off the tour and postponed it to 2017.
