The match between Delhi and Bangalore was called due to rain at the M Chinaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. With this 1 point Bangalore has qualified for the playoffs. It was a disappointment for the Bangalore supporters that they were not able to see Bangalore batting for one last time in their home ground.

When the Royal Challengers Bangalore came to open they only played only 1.1 overs before rain played spoilsport. It was a disappointing end to the match. It started has a drizzle and soon after it rained heavily and the umpires called off the match. With this win they get 1 point and move to 16.

Earlier Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to field. The Delhi Daredevils innings got off to good start with Sheryas Iyer and Quniton De Kock putting a 55 first wicket stand. Both players at the crease were hitting big shots. After the time out Delhi lost the wicket of Sheryas Iyer. Then came Quniton De Kock smashed the Bangalore bowlers all over the park. Quntion De Kock made a quick fire 60 and ensured that Delhi was on course for big total. They lost the wickets after that of De Kock, Yuvraj Singh, Jadhav and Mathews. In the end overs Duminy and Saurbh Tiwary made sure that Delhi reached a competitive total of 187 for 5 in 20 overs.

In the first qualifier Chennai will play Royal Challengers Bangalore and winner of that will qualify for the finals. Rajasthan will play the winner of match between Sunrisers and Mumbai.
