Indian batsman Virat Kohli has become a world beater. He has dominated proceedings against almost every bowler in the world. His prolific batting style made him the outstanding bloke in Indian cricket and in the world cricket. But, surprisingly he has a very poor average against world No, 9. West Indies.
The year 2016, so far has proved an outstanding year for him. In both ODIs and T20s, he has performed like a run machine. Kohli is a very keen cricketer and is a quick learner. He adjusts to conditions easily and challenges his own ability to surpass his own best performance. But in a one-off series in West Indies in 2011 did not go well. He even failed to score against the Caribbean team on home soil in 2013 series.
This time, he is touring the West Indies as a captain of the side. In the two warm-up matches against West Indies Board President XI, Kohli has scored 14 and 51 respectively.

The history is against the Indian captain in the Americas. Kohli has a poor batting average of 15.20 in West Indies in three matches. Last time when he played against West Indies, he scored 4, 15, 0, 27 respectively in 4 innings. His overall average is 27.88 against West Indies in nine matches.
Kohli has so far scored 11 hundreds in 41 Test matches, but, Kohli is yet to score a hundred against West Indies. His 27.88 average against West Indies is only better than his average against England 20.12 and 14 against Bangladesh.
He has played one-off Test against Bangladesh where he was dismissed for only 14. But, In 2012 England series at home he failed to cope with swing bowling. At home, he also failed to impress against England.
The 2011 West Indies tour was the first Test series of his career. This time, Kohli is touring West Indies in outstanding form so it will be interesting to watch how Kohli plays at the Caribbean on his second tour!
