Emotional Yuvraj Singh Tweets On World Cancer Day

On the World Cancer Day, the Punjab-born left-handed batsman Yuvraj Singh, who had survived cancer, has become an inspiration for many cancer patients across the globe since 2012.
The 35-year-old Yuvraj, who is running the foundation “YouWeCan” – to stand against cancer, took to micro-blogging site Twitter to ask his followers and fans to support and join the campaign for raising the awareness among the people.
After battling cancer, Yuvraj has been actively helping the cancer patients while providing them with the monetary support which includes the support for children in education.
The role-model for many, Yuvraj, has been doing the charity work for several Non-Governmental Organisations’ (NGOs) while participating in the fundraising campaigns.

Recently, Yuvraj returned in limited-overs cricket with grand style after blasting 150 off 127 balls against England in the second One-day International in Cuttack.
After going through a lot of hardships, Yuvraj, who considered himself fortunate, is a hero for many in the real life.
“Emotions are very hard to describe. It was very important that I proved it to myself because there is very little belief outside. So it was very important to believe in myself,” Yuvraj, who is playing for Indian Premier League franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad told BCCI.tv.
In 2011 World Cup Title win, Yuvraj was named a man of the tournament over his stellar of the performances for Men in Blue, before he noticed something was going wrong with his body when reports revealed the cancer cells between his lungs.
Yuvraj was diagnosed with the tumour in his left lung, in the late quarter of 2011. He only returned to cricket after undergoing surgery and three cycles of chemotherapy in the United Kingdom in 2012.
However, the batting all-rounder Yuvraj had made the significant comeback when he scored 34 runs off 26 balls against New Zealand in the Twenty20 game in September 2012.
